Welcome to Ercoland!

You are about to become part of a cooperative of more than 2,000 citizens and organizations anchoring Ercoland as an oasis for solidarity and creativity in the city center.

Together, we bought Ercoland!

Following a successful, wonderfully crazy campaign in May 2026, all collected shares were used to place a bid on the site that has been the home of Ercola for over 55 years—and which was at risk of being lost to the real estate market. The bid was accepted, made national headlines, and is being hailed as a pioneer for the future of social infrastructure in Belgium and Europe!

Ercoland needs you!

Now that Ercoland has secured its location, the cooperative is still looking for additional members. As a cooperator, you contribute to the following:

• Democratic governance: As a co-owner and member of our general assembly, you contribute to a democratic, engaged, and deeply rooted governance of the cooperative, keeping a finger on the pulse of society.
• Ambitious programming: You make independent and ambitious programming possible (social neighborhood initiatives, cultural and artistic activities, an open silence garden).
• Financial support: You help cover the operational and financial costs of the cooperative (administrative management, coordination, etc.).
• Active participation: Cooperators are also welcome to join working groups (renovation, neighborhood initiatives, programming, etc.).
